The Trade Marketing Coordinator is responsible for executing the Trade Marketing strategy by brand and channel that is designed to achieve specific objectives.

The role of the Trade Marketing Coordinator is to support implementation of the activity plan per brand and channel and manage the suppliers and the development of POPs while driving efficiency.

Activities and responsibilities:

  • Full understanding of the category in order to create compelling actionable solutions at the point of purchase that will captivate our customers and grow category sales for the mutual benefit of both Mars and the customer;
  • Liaise with Sales and Customer Marketing to ensure effective execution of brand initiatives in-store and to deliver trade programs based on market needs, by frequent field visits (15% time);
  • Build collaborative relationships by managing suppliers against quality protocols and procedures, brief and monitor against plans and budgets;
  • Develop, produce and distribute POP and brand support materials based on annual activity plan briefed by Customer Marketing and Sales, by ensuring delivery of quality and effectiveness;
  • Provide merchandising solutions that optimize sales objectives and ROI by format, including reviewing different format requirements and procuring the type and quantity of equipment/merchandising solutions required;
  • Manage local co-packs while constantly communicating with the Activity Manager;
  • Drive the stock of POSM and ensure a good communication with the logistic partner;
  • Control the budget and resources effectively (production, transport, warehousing);
  • Identify potential suppliers, build and maintain good relationship with them.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor degree;
  • 2 years relevant experience in Marketing/Trade Marketing in FMCG or Retail;
  • Communication skills and customer focus;
  • Negotiation and collaborative skills;
  • Planning and priority settings;
  • Ability to create promotional strategies;
  • Excellent English skills.
