The Account Executive is responsible for the day-to-day execution of the assigned accounts.
He/she develops an understanding of the marketing process and advertising industry (consolidate knowledge about the advertising industry, products, customers, competition, problems etc)

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Understands the basics of marketing mix
  • Understands client’s objectives
  • Understands the timetable to produce quality creative work – what is possible and what is not
  • Understands the concept of “competitive advertising”
  • Builds knowledge on a brand’s category (including information on competition)
  • Learns appropriate research techniques for strategy, creative and media needs
  • Secures approval of production estimates and oversees production budgets
  • Prepares and stewards production plans and timelines
  • Develops creative, production and DTP briefs and oversees plan development, execution and follow-up
  • Participates in creative assessments and revisions
  • Initiates, presents and completes value-added projects
  • Is fully responsible for writing Contact Reports and Weekly Status
  • Works closely with Account Management staff in identifying and recognizing superior advertising ideas
  • Spots and flags any potential problem to supervisors
  • Fulfils basic client requests promptly and efficiently
  • Communicate the client requests to the team accurately
  • Works closely with members of Traffic and TV/Radio/Print Production teams to update them on needs, changes, deadlines and deliveries
  • Prepares professional, articulate and error-free written communication at all times.
  • Briefs all jobs accurately and follow through to ensure clarity and delivery
  • Keeps all members of the team fully informed and up to date
  • Prepares client meeting agendas
  • Always show professional and friendly telephone manners (both internally and externally)
  • Fully understands the Agency’s traffic scheme
  • Ensures all Agency communication goes out on approved templates
  • Ensures that the work delivered to clients is accordance with the agency’s objectives and quality standards (by checking with the Account Manager as appropriate).

 

Education and Experience

  • Preferably university degree
  • Minimum 1 year experience in an advertising agency.

 

Skills and Knowledge

  • Experience in presenting information both verbal and in writing
  • Good knowledge of the advertising industry and tools
  • Well organized

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Takes ownership on his/her projects
  • Ability to apply ‘common sense’ and logical thinking principles to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems

  • PC competence (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
