The role of the PR Supervisor is to work with the Publicity and Comms Manager to deliver effective communications for Disney channels (Disney Channel and Disney Junior) as well as any CSR or Corporate requests.

The PR Supervisor will help develop and supervise implementation of strategic campaigns designed to deliver standout coverage, and will handle all day to day media relations activities to ensure Disney is represented across all key media sectors.


Strategy and Planning

  • Help tailor and execute regional strategies in the market including brand building initiatives and programming launches
  • Identify opportunities and help plan campaigns and initiatives to support the growth plans for the channels.

Media Relations

  • Build and maintain a comprehensive media database
  • Issue and follow-up all key releases
  • Devise creative story angles and proactively seek out opportunities to deliver stand-out coverage
  • Handle press enquiries and build/maintain excellent relationships with a full spectrum of key media, including but not limited to trade, consumer with a focus on national, broadcast, TV listings, trade outlets as well as online
  • Cooperate with influencers on all campaigns and initiatives.


  • Draft creative consumer and corporate press releases, feature copy, messaging / Q&A docs and other media collateral as appropriate
  • Localize regional assets and ensure that they are used as appropriate General
  • Deliver all relevant PR and Publicity events
  • Liaise with and manage potential agencies as appropriate
  • Implement reporting systems to ensure CEE PR are in the loop on all activity
  • Devise simple and effective evaluation systems and deliver campaign / project reviews to the CEE PR.


Experience and Professional Qualifications Required

  • Graduate with the ability to communicate in English (verbal / written)
  • PR experience (ideally 3-4 years) preferably broadcast / media, with a genuine interest in content
  • Agency experience is preferred but not essential
  • Proven track record of successful delivery of media campaigns
  • Strong media contacts across consumer and trade media
  • Ability to deal with people at all levels inside and outside the company.


Skills Required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Romanian and English
  • Good knowledge of the Romanian media landscape
  • Ability to work under pressure and be flexible to changing deadlines and timelines
  • Ability to drive projects from start to finish and manage multiple assignments
  • Proactive with the ability to seek out opportunities to promote content and channels in the media
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to persuasively communicate effectively at all levels with internal stakeholders, media and other parties.
