Job Purpose/Overview

Reporting into CEO of TEILOR, this will be a key role with global focus that has primarily responsibility for developing, managing and implementing marketing strategies and initiatives designed to strengthen the equity of our brand and increase consumer awareness and trial. The Group Marketing Director will enforce and direct all company’s marketing efforts in order to reach the next milestone : becoming the most surprising jewelry brand.

This role will be responsible for defining, implementing and executing of our brand positioning, planning for our marketing budget, building our marketing calendar and coordinating all our marketing and communication activities in relation to TEILOR brand.

Main KPI for this position is to deliver on Brand health metric targets (awareness, penetration and key brand attributes measured in creating desire and demand) as well as shared financial targets with the broader commercial team.

The Group Marketing Director will translate business needs into impactful content and integrated communicaiton plans. This role requires a blend of analytical and intuitive skills, a strong creative eye, and an understanding of marketing and consumer insights and an ability to influence and lead cross functional teams. He / She will manage the integrated communications planning process, from insights through measurable results, helping to shape how our brand comes to life with our consumers and our culture. The marketing team encompasses the in-house creative services team, the brand teams, the PR and Event team as well as the social media and influencers teams, both internal and external.

A great focus for this role will consist of supporting and directing the brand’s growth and scaling in EMEA region, ensuring TEILOR brand consistency in communication at all levels and at the same time agility and flexibility in adapting to local cultures and markets.

Location: Bucharest, Romania ; Expats are also eligible for apply to this role.
We will provide a full relocation package.

Key Responsibilities about the role:

  • Identifies target audiences and builds audience strategy, relative to our communications plans and integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Partner with Sales and rest of Leadership team in order to provide inputs, feedback and co-develop product positioning and communication strategies.
  • Lead the integrated marketing efforts aligning with key influencers and channel leads, including managing budget and agency partnerships.
  • Defines the integrated marketing approach and the marketing calendar in the context of the consumer journey.
  • Determines product messaging and develops messaging and brand communication consistency.
  • Develops and lead communications/creative briefs to inhouse creative team.
  • Leads local adaptation of HQ creative assets and creation of local assets by in-house Creatives Services.
  • Manages the in-house creative team to deliver on-brand, on-strategy, high-quality and hi-impact creative content across touch points (online, on-pack, print, in-store, social media, etc.)
  • Manages all social media accounts for TEILOR brand inputs content for the TEILOR corporate LinkedIn account.
  • Provides integrated launch/campaign objectives, goals, strategies and KPIs.
  • Develops and lead integrated marketing campaign briefs to media agency.
  • Reviews and provide feedback on media strategies and tactical plans.
  • Leads custom content integration with media partners.
  • Analyses marketing activity effectiveness and ROI to drive continuous improvement.
  • Creates close, collaborative relationships with marketing partners (Brand Marketing, Consumer Insights, Channel Marketing leads, Sales leads in the local market and in the HQ team) to develop fully integrated communications programs and see-through implementation across all channels.
  • Contributes to the commercial strategy of TEILOR by working cross-functionally to improve the demand generation and the overall customer experience.
  • Oversee project workflow from initial kick-off through strategic analysis.
  • Serve as liaison between departments and vendor to place orders/ensure proper branding.
  • Other related duties as assigned.


Job Specifications / About you:

  • Four-year college degree from an accredited institution, Marketing required
  • MBA Preferred
  • 7-10 years in Consumer Marketing in multiple marketing disciplines
  • Agency experience welcome
  • Exceptional track record of leading and developing teams and collaborating with customers and internally with sales, integrated marketing, product marketing, and marketing services is essential
  • Experience with variety of media including PR/influencer/digital marketing and social media strategy
  • Brand marketing fundamentals (consumer research and insights, concept development and validation, brand equity, product positioning, go-to-market) and in particular, the ability to identify and translate specific consumer and shopper insights, and broader category insights, into a single-minded strategy and action plan that deliver on specific growth objectives and goals
  • Experiencing leading and working with marketing agencies to deliver integrated marketing plans, initiatives and promotions
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, collaborating and working successfully with multiple stakeholders and teams to drive decisions and action
  • • Experience developing brand plans across multiple touchpoints, including a strong understanding of CPG channels —media, shopper marketing, consumer promotions, eCommerce marketing, PR/experiential.
  • • Ability to inspire, lead and orchestrate diverse network of agency partners to achieve highest levels of strategic creativity
  • • Must be able to succeed in fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • • Must be able to problem solve to advance the work throughout end-to-end process.
