The Media Planner is responsible for the day-to day execution and management of media plans, under the supervision of a Senior Media Planner/ Manager.
Media Planners may use research and buying information in the implementation and management of media plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepares media plan options, analyses and recommendations
  • Implements media plans, maintaining budget control
  • Negotiate different TV special projects
  • Preparing post-buy campaigns analysis
  • Reporting competitive activity and providing constant updates on the media market (changes, trends)
  • Insures timely delivery of work
  • Assists the Senior Media Planner or Manager with other job responsibilities
  • Administers the projects in an effective way and assures their accomplishment within the agreed deadlines
  • Executes several projects at once
  • Understands media and advertising concepts/terminology and the marketing process
  • Understands client’s objectives
  • Ensures that all delivered work is timely and accurate (correct and paying attention to details)
  • Ensures all agency communication goes out on template forms
  • Prioritizes and organizes his/her own work
  • Spots and flags any potential problem to supervisors in time, together with suggested solutions
  • Keeps all members of the team fully informed and up to date.

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (in related field preferred) – is a plus
  • 6 month to 1 year previous agency experience – is a plus

 

Competences within UM/Industry TOOLBOX*

  • Understanding & use of Kantar Instar Analytics, with focus on on-going optimization
  • Use of CORETM – FOCUS on the TV planning module & TV reporting (financial & audit reports)
  • Understanding & use of UM TV deals template and competitive dashboard.
