Transmisia unui program specializat pentru un public clar segmentat( pe baza unui anume interes ori hobby). Termenul este folosit ca antonym al lui 'broadcasting'.

The transmission of specialist programming intended for a precisely-defined audience (which could be based on a specific interest or hobby). The term was derived as an opposite to 'broadcasting'.
