CONTEXT:
Vola’s new communication platform kicks off with a simple truth: flight standards have never been lower, and somehow, travelers have come to accept them.
Why are we paying for check-in?
Why are families split up on flights unless they pay extra?
Why is this the new normal?
We highlighted these absurdities by placing them in everyday contexts like hospitals or restaurants. What seems unacceptable in real life, why is it considered “normal” when flying?
In August, Vola is launching the “Free Seats for Families” initiative - a special promotion available exclusively in the GoVola app (in Romania and Bulgaria) and FRU (in Poland), allowing parents to sit next to their children on flights, at no extra cost.
To amplify the message, over 12 influencers recreated these airline absurdities in real-life situations - at the movies, concerts, weddings, or even in the park - driving home how ridiculous some flight practices have become. This marks the first step in a new regional brand platform launched in Romania, Bulgaria, and Poland, under the new slogan: “We go far for you.”
