Campaign / Execution Summary

Fibra (Romanian slang for ‘muscle’) was created to earn the respect of the industry from both agencies and clients alike. To make it as neutral as possible, we decided to bring in the industry heavyweights, David Droga and Alex Bogusky, and we let the people decide who should be the main jury president.

A series of 11 crazy rounds in the streets of Bucharest decided the winner… David Droga.

David’s right-hand ECD at Droga5, Kevin Brady flew to Romania to preside the show.

Context / Problem / Opportunity / Insight

Romania had no local creative shows after the ADC Awards were last held in 2013.
IQads, the main advertising magazine decided to step in and organize a brand new local festival called Fibra Awards.

Target Group

To inspire the local advertising and marketing industry, Fibra Awards had the mission to bring the different creative shops and clients head-to-head in order to raise general creative standard.
Fibra targeted to bring together the industry under one common goal – put Romania on the creative map.

Results

With 371 entries from 68 local agencies and freelancers in its the first edition, Fibra Awards became the most successful local festival in recent history.
