CrUAtivity digest: the life of Ukrainians is reflected in advertising

The All-Ukrainian Advertising Coalition VRK has published a new CrUAtivity digest, which includes the works of Ukrainian agencies for March and April 2023. The review included 38 cases from 35 agencies and production companies. Cases are placed in 7 categories: Film, Design, Digital, Advertising campaign, Social campaign, PR campaign and Influencer marketing. 

Affected farms, inspiring messages for Ukrainians in metro stations, inclusive reconstruction of cities, campaigns against domestic violence and sexism issues, international cooperations, the launch of a new brand of wine, ice cream, etc. That's the life of the Ukrainian advertising market now.

VRK calls on the global professional community to cooperate with Ukrainian creatives and not only to find new partners for themselves, but also to continue supporting Ukrainians.

New release of the CrUAtivity digest on cruativity.org. In the digest you will find current works of the agency & production companies and their contacts that will allow you to contact them. Or it can be done through VRK.

Analyzing the entries collected for the March and April digests, it is seen the ads reflect themes that disturb people who have been living in a state of war for more than a year.

For example, you can see the real consequences of enemy shelling for Ukrainian farmers in FarmerHood charity platform case by Arriba! creative agency. After all, Ukraine is the most mined country in the world today. Russian aggression affected almost every Ukrainian farms.

You found out about the manifesto of every Ukrainian who has experienced the hardest winter in life. It's nationwide campaign «Fight for a new life» created by [isdgroup], with the assistance of the Office of the President of Ukraine and the support of USAID.

Inspirational messages for Ukrainians at metro stations in Kyiv and Kharkiv is the new  campaign Gres Todorchuk agency for the Nova Poshta express delivery operator.

Advertising companies in Ukraine also support many socially significant issues.

Thus, Linza agency created a campaign to update the topic of accessibility of urban space. Due to the Russian invasion, over 2.4 million Ukrainians were living in destroyed or significantly damaged housing. Future reconstruction of their homes should consider all aspects of necessary inclusivity.

Campaigns against domestic violence are also conducted in Ukraine – A life saving app by Kyifornia and Break the Circle by Vandog Agency.

agama group of agencies and Talan Communications agency initiated the “Leave Sexism to the Cavemen” campaign that highlights the connection between the gender issue and the development of society.

However, every month there are more and more advertising communications, as in ordinary peaceful times.

In Ukraine, they are developing branding for a new wine (Brama Wine case by Postmen) and packaging for ice cream (Jeremy ice cream case by Aprostir), advertising a new KFC menu (KFC sequel case by idealers) or new mobile operator tariffs (Free life case by Isobar Ukraine).

The review also included cases of international cooperation with Ukrainian creators. Thus, Brain Tank agency developed a campaign for the brand Cheers in Uzbekistan.

I AM IDEA agency created a visual identity and print design for the TV-show “Troll Farm” from LithuaniaHOSHVA PR & DGTL agency together with the AURORA British company launched the global charity flash mob #HelpUkraineSong at Eurovision Song Contest 2023.

All-Ukrainian Advertising Coalition (VRK) is the key association in the advertising and communications market in Ukraine. It brings together the leading players of the market (more than 140 companies), including creative, marketing, PR agencies, media companies, and advertisers.

The All-Ukrainian Advertising Coalition created CrUAtivity project in partnership with Brain Tank creative marketing communications agency and Adcore digital agency.

CrUAtivity is a regular digest of advertising creativity in Ukraine. The purpose of the project is to show that Ukrainian agencies could be creative partners for the international advertising community and continue to work even in difficult conditions and demonstrate what actual topics reflected by advertising creativity in Ukraine today.
