Publicitate pe Internet. In mod obisnuit, advertiserii platesc pentru a afisa un banner pe pagina unui site cu un pret care se calculeaza la mia de afisari. Tehnologia internet, prin care se poate calcula numarul de afisari, a permis publicatiilor online sa garanteze un anumit numar de afisari si, implicit, sa stabileasca niste costuri in functie de mia de afisari, desi cei mai multi proprietari de site-uri nu verifica cifrele singuri. In timp ce banner-ele sunt cele mai populare mijloace publicitare online, advertiserii si proprietarii de media sunt din ce in ce mai inovatori si creeaza noi mijloace de promovare.
Advertising on the Internet. Typically, advertisers pay to place an advertising banner on a web page for a price that is usually based on cost-per-thousand impressions. Internet technology, which can count the number of impressions delivered, has allowed publishers to guarantee impressions, and therefore costs-per-thousand, to advertisers, although most publishers are not yet independently verifying their figures. Whilst banners are the most popular ad vehicle, advertisers and media owners are becoming increasingly innovative in creating new forms of online advertising (see Banner, Banner Impressions, Page Impressions, WWW, Web Page).
